# Publicus — Veille des feuilles officielles suisses

## Overview
Publicus is a Swiss legal-watch service that monitors the official cantonal gazettes (Feuilles d'Avis Officielles / Amtsblätter / Fogli ufficiali) and sends prompt email alerts when a tracked name, company, address, or keyword appears in a publication. Built for lawyers, fiduciaries, journalists, compliance teams, and concerned individuals who need to know — within hours, not weeks — when an entity they care about is named in a Swiss official publication. Operated by Candice Sàrl, Geneva, Switzerland.

Publicus is NOT the legal source of record. The legally binding publications remain the cantonal portals (fao.ge.ch, amtsblattportal.ch, etc.). Publicus is a monitoring layer on top of those portals — every alert links back to the official source, which prevails in case of discrepancy.

## Data sources
- Genève: Feuille d'Avis Officielle de la République et canton de Genève (fao.ge.ch)
- Other cantons: SECO Amtsblattportal API (amtsblattportal.ch) — official federal aggregator
- Coverage today (24 active cantons, 2 coming soon): GE (FAO PDF pipeline) plus, via the SECO Amtsblattportal aggregator, ZH, BE, BS, BL, FR, NE, JU, VS, TI, ZG, SO, SH, SZ, NW, OW, AR, AI, GL, UR, LU, SG, GR, AG. Vaud (VD) and Thurgau (TG) are not yet covered cantonally — only the federal commercial register (SHAB/FOSC) is available for them, fanned out as a federal supplement across every canton.

## How alerts work
1. Define keywords (names, CHE numbers, addresses, free text) in your account
2. Publicus extracts entities from each daily publication using a custom pipeline (Candice extractor + Hermes anti-hallucination verifier)
3. When a match is found, you receive an email alert within minutes of detection (no official status — the official publication prevails)
4. Daily digest available as an alternative to per-event alerts

## Pricing (CHF)
- Micro: 10 CHF/month (100 CHF/year) — 5 keywords, 1 primary canton included, daily notifications
- Starter: 25 CHF/month (250 CHF/year) — 25 keywords, 1 primary canton included, daily notifications
- Pro: 79 CHF/month (790 CHF/year) — 100 keywords, up to 2 users, fast email alerts processed every 5 minutes, CSV export, exclusion keywords and saved searches
- Cabinet: 149 CHF/month (1490 CHF/year) — 250 keywords, up to 5 users, 1 primary canton included, fast alerts processed every 5 minutes, all thematic categories, exclusions, saved searches, CSV export, and Outlook/Google/CSV contact import
- Enterprise: contact sales (from 490 CHF/month or 4'900 CHF/year) — tailored keyword and user capacity, all cantons, thematic categories, contact import, dedicated onboarding and SLA
- New accounts receive a 7-day Starter trial with 25 keywords and no credit card required. After the trial, a paid plan is required to keep receiving alerts.
- Thematic Alerts: 25 CHF/month per category, purchased individually. All thematic categories are included with Cabinet.
- Additional cantons: 5 CHF/month each, purchased individually
- API & MCP access is available separately and billed by usage; it is not bundled into Enterprise.
- All prices in CHF. Publicus is not yet subject to Swiss VAT. Where applicable, local taxes in your country of residence are calculated and collected by Paddle (our Merchant of Record) at checkout.

## Compliance
- Swiss data hosting (Lovable Cloud / Supabase EU)
- nLPD (new Swiss Federal Data Protection Act) compliant
- Data subject rights: access, rectification, erasure, opposition — request at https://publicus.ch/erasure-request
- Default retention: publications and alerts are retained for up to 12 months, then archived/removed in line with the FADP right-to-be-forgotten
