# Stop finding out about a bankruptcy after the claims deadline

_Solutions · Law firms · Updated 2026-10-17_

A bankruptcy opening, a composition moratorium or a public call to heirs opens short deadlines from publication. Publicus monitors your opposing parties, debtors and clients in the SOGC and 24 cantonal official gazettes.

## In short

- Debt-enforcement and bankruptcy notices appear in the SOGC and the cantonal gazette; the SOGC governs deadlines (art. 35 DEBA).
- After a bankruptcy opens, creditors have one month from publication to file claims (art. 232 DEBA).
- Publicus alerts you by person name, company name, UID number, address, parcel or procedure number.
- Pro (CHF 79/month, 100 keywords), Cabinet (CHF 149/month, 250 keywords, 5 users) or Enterprise per department, with ring-fencing and client references.

## What a law firm monitors with Publicus

- Opposing parties and debtors: bankruptcy openings, suspensions, revocations and closures, composition moratoria, debt-enforcement notices.
- Client or target companies: commercial register entries (officers, registered office, capital, liquidation), which take effect upon publication in the SOGC (art. 936a CO).
- Estates: public calls to heirs (art. 555 CC) and to creditors in an inventory, with a deadline of at least one month from the first publication (art. 582 CC).
- Proceedings: summonses and decisions served by publication, procedure or permit numbers.

## A verified alert, always linked to the source

Every publication is analysed and every extracted name is checked against the official text: an alert is only sent if the entity appears in the publication. Every alert links to the official document, which alone prevails; deadlines run from the official publication, never from the alert.

## Professional secrecy and Enterprise accounts

Your data stays strictly yours — never viewed, never exploited. For firms that must ring-fence teams, the Enterprise account adds separate departments, personal monitoring for each lawyer, a client or matter reference on every alert, sign-in through the firm's directory (SAML SSO, set up with your IT team) and an audit log for compliance. No Publicus employee can see an Enterprise account's targets.

## Which plan for a law firm?

- Pro — CHF 79/month: 100 keywords, fast alerts processed every 5 minutes, exclusions, saved searches, CSV export, 2 users.
- Cabinet — CHF 149/month: 250 keywords, 5 users, every thematic category and contact import from Outlook, Google or CSV.
- Enterprise — from CHF 490/month per department: tailored capacity, all cantons, SAML SSO once configured, ring-fencing and SLA.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does Publicus cover all of Switzerland?

Publicus reads the SOGC and the official gazettes of 24 cantons; Vaud and Thurgau are covered through the SOGC only. Every plan includes one canton; each extra canton costs CHF 5/month.

### Can I import opposing parties in bulk?

Yes: the Cabinet plan imports your contacts from Outlook, Google or a CSV file and turns them into keywords.

### Who can see what we monitor?

Your keywords are visible only inside your account: your data stays yours, never viewed, never exploited. On an Enterprise account, personal and department keywords are ring-fenced, and Publicus staff have no access to the targets.
